This story is about when I lost my dog Osiris. It’s also about my relationship with my mom.
By watching the movie I can reflect on how far the relationship with my mom has come. Even though I could blame her for losing my dog, which was one of the worst things that could happen to me, I was able to forgive her and get through it. This experience tested our very shaky relationship, but we got through it. If someone would have asked me before this incident if I would forgive her for losing my dog, I think I would have said no. Now I know that there is much more to it. Now, I know that she doesn’t mean to hurt me. Knowing that it’s not intentional makes me be more forgiving and understanding.
This story can also be used in alternative schools. Many times students in such programs have a lot of difficulties in their lives. An activity like this can help them express themselves and really face whatever it is that troubles them. It can be used to help build a relationship between the student and the teacher, which I think is important for the student to succeed.
